So idk what's gonna happen there. I think Cinder's on the cusp of a very important decision this volume that's either gonna cement her as Salem's top brass OR she's gonna trajectory off into...whatever you call an antagonist that's not associated with the Big Bad but is still a Problem.

And I suspect that either the Lamp or Emerald is going to play a part in that decision. Or both. Because Emerald ain't going back to Salem and the Lamp still has one question left.

Also wanted to yak about some neat continuity stuff. Oscar mentions in this episode that Oz would basically switch out with him whenever they were being tortured so that Oscar wouldn't have to experience it and as much as I'm loathe to go back and specifically re-watch those scenes, I am pretty sure that Oscar's eyes had a weird glow in all of them.

I definitely remember noticing it when Salem zaps them and passed it off as a lighting effect from the magic and/or a result of being zapped but that's extra cool that it was probably alluding to that reveal.

Also because I perpetually have Bees on the brain, if that song that played during the reunion scene is a Bees song I'm gonna die, the lyrics certainly swing towards traditional Bees imagery but it's too early to tell.
