VOLUME 6. ...Okay again she technically participated but her big fight was in the episode prior to the finale. Same with Volume 7 AND I'M MAKING THE RULES HERE SO STUFF IT.

Yeah I was a bit disappointed with how that last question was used, but it was the most logical thing.

But yeah, not only is the Lamp out of play like...okay, Cinder, Watts, and Neo basically just all acted 100% against Salem's wishes.
Salem wanted the lamp for herself. She specifically said she had questions.
And while yes, she's probably the only other member of the cast besides Oz that could actually wait the 100 years for it to reactivate, I have a feeling she is...not going to be pleased about that.
Salem is gonna be so mad...I can't wait. She's gone for like 5 minutes and everyone ruins everything.

Anyway, I can't believe Yang got sent to SuperHell for that gay nonsense she pulled 3 episodes ago.
And Blake is going to ferally stab absolutely everybody in the nexus room and honestly she's earned it.

I am kinda hoping that they establish, in whatever way, that Yang is fine before the volume ends.

Not because I'm actually concerned because Yang Is Obviously Fine, but MOSTLY, and I hate that this is actually a concern, because I don't want to have Yang haters/Bumbleby haters crowing about this and slinging garbage in the fandom circles I sometimes haunt.
Because no matter how many times you tell a person, "Yang is a title character the show isn't going to just be RWB for the remaining 6 volumes or whatever" or "Yang has too many plotthreads that haven't even been addressed, it doesn't make sense narratively," or "They're not going to kill Yang, a key character off using a character that Monty added ON A WHIM
in Volume 2"
They're gonna stick their fingers in their ears and go LA LA LA NO U WRONG I'M RITE U.
And I'd really prefer not to have to deal with that for a year but I mean, that's not CRWBY's fault. That's certain FNDM circles and if I just have to avoid them, then fine. I'll just Schnee pout off to the side while seething about how people on the Internet are Wrong
That said, I'd like to give Arryn Zech an award for absolutely tearing my heart out despite the fact I was expecting this?
Because somebody was gonna fall in that pit and it made sense it was of the group that was "warned" specifically not to. Because stonks Stakes.
I would LOVE for RWB to just collectively decide to take a Risk and jump into SuperHell after her.
Because something something abandonment issues, something something Yang narratively has always had to "catch up" to the others, it'd be nice if they come to her for once BUT.
There's also Raven. Who might be able to portal into SuperHell, idk. That might even be the nexus point her portals actually use, who knows.
Oh! The real tragedy in this episode? RIP #1 Dad Mug Guy.

And don't think I didn't catch Cinder pulling from Salem's playbook again. We saw that behavior waaaaay back in V2/V3 and now that we know where it's coming from it's even more unsettling.

bouncyerbear Oh BIG SAME. I had a bunch of visceral reactions to this episode and I gotta say, Yang falling off the edge was like...actually one of the more fun ones. Mostly because I love any chance for Yang to get some spotlight and Bee Angst is Good Angst but I'm predictable like that XDXDXD

Like...I seriously don't think we've ever seen her this mad. About the closest we get is her fights with Adam and even then it's like...tempered? Sort of?
This is like, Yangry-worthy rage. Actually, this might go beyond the levels Yang hits because...I don't think I've ever seen Yang's pupils do that. They're barely even there in the second shot like Blake is about to go on a murder spree here.
Which makes it kinda extra nifty that they have them widen back when she gets a brief moment of clarity and starts thinking about maybe she's more needed elsewhere.
