Being any iteration of a Homestuck Fan is an exercise of Pure That Sure Is Something. I have had it get under my skin despite being in the thick of it with how it still Pops Up. And this new Thing That Popped Up is going to stick for a while since these are pretty serious allegations to be lobbied at all parties involved s o.

Between Homestuck 2 being officially dead and this suddenly coming out of the ashes, I, once again, wonder if I'll be free of this canon.

retrowave and elimyx: Yeah. Last time I checked - It's more or less now on the dreaded 'We'll update it when we can' schedule which doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in me. I'm sure the team will give it their all but they will need to work on other projects and commissions to keep themselves afloat.

One of the allegations, yeah. It's basically the must-be-seen-to-be-believed mismanagement of the Homestuck Video Game Kickstarter (which currently exists as Hiveswap) and who is to blame for it because there are claims funds were misused by a party but no one knows who.

The first round of accusations were aimed at the Odd Gentlemen, the original video game studio working with the Kickstarter. Then the second round of accusations were directed to the What Pumpkin Team/Andrew Hussie, who were handling the finances/leading the production.

It's been this point of contention for those who are in the know that is now blowing up because no one seriously brought these up in a public manner before. You've had it said and talked about, yeah, but never addressed, if that makes sense.

I genuinely feel bad for the current iteration of the What Pumpkin and Homestuck 2 crew because it looks like people are turning their ire on them when it looks like they had nothing to do with it.
