Ooo y'know what let's go with an easy one but I'm chinhands anyway. Riku. 'u'

1. What really compels me about Riku is his character arc. I think he has one of the strongest arcs in the games and I can't help but feel proud of him when I think back to the first KH and how far he's come since. especially because at the beginning he's very much the character type that I dislike typically. but essential things I've always loved about him

are that he's devoted to his friends and loyal (even when he's on the outs with Sora, helping Kairi is his main motivation...along with the need to feel powerful) and that for someone so outwardly brave and confident, he can be surprisingly insecure. which is big mood.

2. Sora and Kairi mainly. But I enjoy his dynamics with Namine as well and kind of ship it. My trash ship with him would be with Roxas but that's mostly because they would need a lot of work, but I've had great cr in games with Roxas that has made me go "oh cute" about them.

3. sora kairi in an attempt to be different I'll go with Terra. we need more interactions with them, but they have a lot of shared experience that I think will bond them closer as friends and not just "that dude who made me his successor and disappeared for years".

4. I don't know if this is unpopular but it's just a bit of unflattering characterization regarding Riku's opinions on Xion and Roxas circa Days/KHII in that he doesn't see them as them, or can't allow himself to see them as their own persons because that would mean facing uncomfortable truths about his own actions and could hinder waking Sora up.

it's just a piece of headcanon of mine and definitely something that informs the way I play him off a Roxas or Xion. his views have definitely changed over time and in hindsight.
