I can see both sides as a parent and educator. What are your thoughts and feelings?

I agree totally. How do you handle situations where legal matters ensue? Harassment, illegal "deals" and such involving students?

tools are tools. what we do with them is up to us to determine. remembers being told not to talk in class & doing it...

I think they are a tool as well. It is important we show them other ways to utilize the tool.
