... my work gave us today off, but didn't email us about it until after 5 PM yesterday. Summer hours are in effect, meaning most people get off work at 4 PM. And even if that was not the case, everyone gets off at 5 PM on regular hours. I, not being owned by my work in my off hours, did not receive this email until this morning. When I was already at work.

Luckily, they'll be granting holiday comp time to those who still have to work today, which is great 'cause at my particular category, I'll wind up with, like 12 hours comp time. But also, a big ol' fuck you, friend!!! If you expect people to receive your notices, send them out during business hours!!!
