And, John, I think you would be hard pressed to find any licensed medical practitioners here who would be open about their support for personal end of life choices. The country is still largely under the control of people who believe in forcing everyone to “live” no matter how awful the circumstances.

I'm not sure if I have heard definitively abut USA, but in Canada we do. I have to some extent that there is something sort of similar.
