AMA time though honestly what anything is there really to AM. I've been trapped in a house since 2020. ;-) But. 35+, genderqueer, bisexual, married, autistic. Freelance artist (yup people pay me for my crap), powerlifter on hiatus, roller derby player...also on hiatus.

Re: Autism, I was diagnosed recently, and can answer questions about the process and about being a female-coded individual who was not clocked as being very autistic until I was 35.

Came out as genderfluid very late in life as well, identify by she/her because the way people address me is not important to me (and I do not feel my preferred pronouns are a tool for the cause - I speak up for others whose pronouns are ignored.)

yarnzipan: Everything I've read by Grady Hendrix has been phenomenal as far as horror goes. I rush to buy his books as soon as they come out now. (I need to get his Final Girl Support Group one.)

transilience: Honestly, I can't find any washi tape with broken hearts on it, and I really would like some. I have broken hearts on a lot of my derby gear and jewelry, and it has some ~symbolism~ to me that I'd like to express with restickable tape

And clean prickles smell of dawn dish soap because honestly they really don't have an odor at all >.> I wash his wheel with dish soap, though. The smell of the vinegar I use on his fleece dissipates really fast.

but yesterday or day before, I had to bathe his feet because not only did he run in poo, he ran in a blueberry first

so he had a pooberry pellet stuck to one of his long ass toenails

and it would not come off in the bath or with scrubbing, so I ended up having a horrific moment of OH GOD HE LIVES WITH THIS POOP NOW

Also I love horror movies, Nick Cave, reading, am a Hellenic Pagan, I know a lot of things about some things and a little about a lot of things. I collect pins and stickers and washi tape, I bookbind, and I'm pretty undecided on Bigfoot.

I will say my Halloween pick is always The Houses October Built, and my summer pick (therefore July 4th) is usually Friday the 13th because of the wonderful summertime slash summer camp vibe.

I tend to watch Scream in both summer and around Halloween, though it is really neither. It's a good turning of the seasons one.

Valentine's Day, I'd recommend something with some toxic romance or eternal passion, so Robert Englund's Phantom of the Opera would be fabulous
ᴇᴠɪᴇ

there are obvious go-tos for holidays but I won't recommend any horror movies where the dog dies. Halloween is out, Babadook, etc.
these answers yesssss
in fact i just need you to pair one horror movie and one booze for all occasions i think, an important rec list
