when you spend years at an academy that venerates the SSR and its founding members and then WHOOP there's The Founder in the flesh without a speck of gray hair
man though just thinking aloud into the void, but I was thinking earlier about whether to get into the weeds of crau and whether that would impact how Fitz would interact with a brand new Peggy since he was so close to one forever ago (the interaction was largely positive and he got to make her all kinds of cool retro spy stuff)
but I really do think he's so far removed from the previous setting that he's just like "oh no that wasn't real my mind is just Swiss cheese and I have a lot of false memories"
just things I think about, considering how it's canon that he was having hallucinations for three solid years and didn't think it was worth bothering anyone about it
then if we're using the full canon timeline it just never comes up again until the very end of the series when it's like "we need to do a partial mindwipe to protect a secret hey let's not do that to Fitz. his mind will probably shatter let's just grab a different volunteer instead"
