He's a German, I think, director? Known for weird cerebral shit. And 30 Days of Night is one of the more intriguing vampire movies I've seen in a while, I love it

Ahhh I have seen nothing by him, BUT several of those movies are on my list already

Persona is probably my fav by him. It's a trip and a half
