Just a little further around the bend in the road, the valley really opens up, but this is a 2-lane, narrow farm road I take home, steep incline and fast speeds, and there isn't really a good spot to pull off and take pictures at that point. The valley held the fog in a lovely way further in. But yes, too early....

What a weird week... Just watched 2 black hawks land in the field by my office

Y'know, snow to start off the week, helicopters to end it, just your average week.

I'm fairly certain they were from Mountain Home AFB just down the road (in a "this is the West where driving is normal" kind of "down the road") and were doing flight training of some kind. They were there for about 45 minutes, took off again, circled the couple of buildings right around me, landed, took off again and left.

is the field, like. university property, or the AFB?

University property, but we have an active ROTC program on campus, so they were doing field exercises with the babies

one of the dorm/student union type places is just out of frame to the left, background building is dorms, building on the right of frame is the gym, my building is directly behind me.
