The owner of the house I live told me in text "You should cancel , I don t wanna accept any payment." She is talking about my automatic rent payments each month. She also texted earlier "You don t need to pay me for this month save your money for the other house." For now, I am guessing she is trying to get me to move, but she has not said that to me.
If I were not smart about this kind of thing, I would not have any idea what she was talking about. I even asked her "What house?" which she did not answer. I also asked her "Why?" when she said for me to cancel all my automatic payments which she also did not answer. She realizes that I have a record of everything she types in text and what that means.
I also have records of how I tried to get clarification of what she typed to me. She was the one who insisted everything be in text. I do not have a rental agreement with and I told staff this several times after I had just moved in and they said they would tell her, which they obviously did not do. I tried!!
Call your caseworker and keep making your payments
I just got a 60-day notice to leave. These are not court papers. I just talked to one of them and she wants me to call Legal Aid, which I am going to do ASAP.
