haha
ALL RIGHT I'M AT MY COMPUTER NOW SO I CAN TYPE WITH NOT-GORILLAFINGERS LET'S GO
nikoftime Rean isn't really sure what to make of Lutha. On one hand, Lutha really hurt someone he considers a good friend, and Rean has
zero tolerance for racist bullshit. Social divides where he comes from are bad enough
without bringing race into it, and one of his dearest friends has had to deal with
both, so. Yeah. HE'S UNHAPPY THERE
But on the other hand he's very much reminded of some other people he knows, and he has the distinct feeling that Lutha's just lashing out at anything without actually thinking too hard about the consequences. Rean's not the type to lash out himself, but he can understand it, even if he doesn't approve of it.
So he wants Lutha to get better. He wants to see him improve as a person and apologize. But he's also struggling because he really feels like he just can't reach him. And... well, he's right, but not for the reasons he thinks, because unfortunately Rean's self-loathing idiocy overrides most other things.
He wants to help, but also
trying to help just makes him feel more and more worthless.
Ris is apparently one of the few idiots in this game that actually kind of likes Lutha? To be fair, she doesn't know anything about the Yeetening, but still. She sees something of a kindred spirit in him.
all of China knows, except ris she is still safe
...And, well, for all of Lutha's efforts he doesn't do a great job of making himself seem all that Together. And Ris rather enjoys actually feeling like the more composed one in a situation for once. Sorry, Lutha, on some level you're a little footstool for her fragile little ego even if she doesn't really recognize that for herself.
yashiori he was a MESS so thats absolutely true
FaeRose Rean likes August well enough! He's definitely more than a bit confused by him a lot of the time, what are all these modern slang terms, but Rean thinks he's got a good heart and trusts him as a part of the team.
Hilariously I'm pretty sure August is older than Rean but I think on some level Rean sees August as like... one of his students? August is the exact same sort of reckless he'd associate with them, after all. ...And himself, if he had the slightest bit of self-awareness, but, uh. He don't.
....shit I think he is older than Rean, he's 22
Rean has a habit of... not respecting people's actual ages tho (RIP Towa) so this isn't surprising
Also, Rean's actually not all that upset that August called him "thick" behind his back. Like... whatever, his students say worse things all the time right in front of his face. And it's not like he can really say it's WRONG?
He's more upset that
both his boyfriends betrayed him in public like that smh
August will see no repercussions for this.
Also: He likes Julian, he thinks August's connection with him is cool, but also wtf bird why would you pull a knife on him
...Listen, that bird was hot, it was different,,,
Ris really isn't sure how to feel about August. She doesn't really have any reason to distrust him, and she doesn't dislike him at all! It's just... he's very straightforward, in the way that makes her think maybe he's a bit too stupid to lie.
Normally she'd be like "well that's a him problem" but he is kind of a member of this team and she is invested in making sure that they don't just get wiped out of existence so maybe? Be a little more thoughtful??
That said, she does like Julian. Julian is a Good Bird so she will probably continue to hang around August just to continue to act as a perch. She's going to spoil this bird even more rotten rip
FistFullofMagic Rean really likes Sooga and trusts him as a friend. I think he knows that Sooga is perfectly capable of being dangerous, but he doesn't really care - he knows lots of people who are Extremely Dangerous and so long as that is being put to good use he has no reason to judge.
He has a lot of empathy towards Sooga's struggles back in Hyrule and he really just wants to see Sooga and his clan be happy. It hurts him that he really has no idea how to even begin to help make that happen. Rean needs to help people, but this is so far beyond him, and it hurts.
"a bit too stupid to lie" oh my gods
NO HE'S JUST BLUNT AS FUCK RIS
RIGHT WHICH MEANS IF THE SITUATION CAME UP WHERE HE HAD TO LIE TO SAVE HIS ASS, WOULD HE BE ABLE TO PULL IT OFF OR WOULD HE JUST SPIT OUT THE FIRST THING THAT CAME TO MIND?
RIS IS PRETTY SURE IT'S THE LATTER
Anyway Ris probably trusts Sooga more than she trusts most people in this group, solely because she knows that Sooga will absolutely fire her bullshit right back at her. She respects Sooga, at the very least, which isn't necessarily true of a lot of the group.
That said, and I need to tag, but she IS pretty annoyed that Sooga 1. came to her in disguise and 2. TURNED OUT TO BE SO FUCKING TALL??? WHO ALLOWED THIS???
Like... she trusts Sooga insofar as she thinks he'll be honest about her, but she doesn't know if she can trust him to be honest in general.
And that definitely Bothers Her. Really, he couldn't even give her a real name? That's just rude.
neutronstar Rean OBVIOUSLY LOVES ELLIOT THAT WOULD BE WHY THEY'RE DATING and he could just as easily give a several thousand word speech as to why that's true but
Rean really appreciates that Elliot's never put him on some kind of pedestal. Even other people in Class VII have fallen victim to that mentality, and it's why he constantly second-guesses himself about whether it's okay to just be himself. Elliot's never done that to him.
He's allowed to be human and make mistakes and he knows Elliot will call him out on it, but he also knows it won't like... completely shatter Elliot's perception of him if he does screw up.
It's really easy for him to just talk to Elliot or just generally exist in his presence. They share a lot of common interests and personality traits, and it makes it a lot easier to connect to Elliot on a level he sometimes struggles to achieve with other people.
And of course, he is Elliot's #1 fan in the multiverse. Elliot is sweet and kind, insanely talented, Elliot deserves the world and he would be more than happy to gush about him endlessly
Of course, he's also aware Elliot isn't Actually Perfect, either. Elliot's a human, too. But he knows that anything that happens between them is something they can work through as long as they're together.
Ris likes Elliot well enough! He's gentle, but not overbearing or anything. She is kind of embarrassed that he had to see her at what she considers a low point, but if he's not going to bring it up neither is she.
She's also impressed to see that he's the one who called people together to discuss the matter of the delusions. It's good to see that he's not too gentle to take things seriously! He has her respect.
Rean has had Jun for a handful of months and if anything happened to Jun he would kill everyone in this game and then himself
SDKJLFDSKFJLDSJKLFSDF holy shit
But like, as a serious version: He definitely sees Jun as one of his students, as someone he should be protecting and guiding. But he's also very aware of Jun's abilities and the fact that Jun can very much look after himself, so he's a little more willing to tone down the helicoptering.
He wants to see Jun grow and find happiness, and he sincerely believes he can. His heart definitely breaks a little every time Jun falters and questions himself, but he's going to do everything he can to try to support him.
He knows he doesn't do a perfect job in that, and he knows sometimes he reads things wrong or upsets him, but he tries not to let that get under his skin too much. Jun makes it pretty easy to get back on the right foot, anyway.
He would definitely be disheartened to know Jun's still very much like IF SOMEONE GETS IN THE WAY OF THE MISSION, WE KNOCK THEM OFF but thankfully he doesn't know that SO!!
HE'S TRYING HIS BEST... HIS BEST IS JUST. um.
amity_rose Rean also sees Jinx as someone he should be guiding and protecting. He hates everything he's heard about her past - except for the part where she has friends, obviously, that part's great - and if he were able, he would absolutely want to go and cause some
damage to anything that's ever hurt her.
But with things as they are, he's happy to just keep looking out for her, keep talking to her, and keep watching her grow and be happy. He thinks she deserves that and more.
At the same time, though, it's not strictly a "you're younger than me I need to take care of you" deal as he's definitely opened up to her about his own anxieties, as well. It's not quite a teacher/student thing - he's very aware that in the situation they're in, they're peers. Still, when push comes to shove, he's going to go full PROTECT on her if has to.
Ris needs to tag back probably I've been off my game for a bit here but ANYWAY she likes Jinx so far? It's nice to have a kindred spirit, even if it makes her sad to know that she's suffered, too. She doesn't think that anyone deserves that kind of suffering, but especially not someone kind.
okay no seriously though Rean is obviously stupidly in love with this idiot. He's so, so happy to have Crow back in his life, he's thrilled beyond words that their relationship has at LEAST moved beyond "no homo" even if he's pretty sure actually calling Crow his boyfriend would just cause the guy to die again on the spot, but also
hoo boy does he ever want to just punch him or throw him out the window sometimes
On the one hand, he does see the best in Crow. Crow's brilliant when he applies himself, he's caring and compassionate, he always seems to know just what to say to make things bearable and give Rean the strength to find a path forward when he feels hopeless
But on the other FOR AIDIOS' SAKE HE IS SO! STUBBORN! It drives Rean up the wall how Crow is willing to make sense of things working out for everyone but himself, how many absolutely astounding mental leaps he can make just to come back to "everything is impossible and hopeless for Me Specifically"
REAN AND JINX ARE SO GOOD andi m looking forward to getting to know ris more too... they really seem like fast friends imo
Which. Realistically Rean doesn't really have room to talk but at least where Crow is concerned he is trying, he really does want to believe that maybe there's a future where everything isn't miserable and they can forge a path together. And no matter what he says, it seems like he's stuck up against a brick wall of Crow being like
"Yeah, you'll find that... for you."
He just wishes he knew what to do that would get through the thickest skull in the multiverse that isn't his own. But in the meantime, he's just happy to have Crow back at all, so.
amity_rose I LOVE THEM!! also yeah they really do seem like fast friends and i'm excited to see where things go ;u;
the best option, alas, is "prove him wrong"
graygriffin Millium likes Franciscus a lot! He reminds her a lot of Jusis, who is definitely her Favorite Person from... well, her original self's memories. Not really hers anymore, but oh well, thinking too hard on the clone situation just causes headaches, so.
He's a little more supportive of her chaos, too, which definitely helps, although she can't say she minds when people complain about it. The whining is fun, too!
Doing A Kill isn't great and all and she probably SHOULD judge for that, but... eh, whatever. The past is in the past! This is her big brother with cool pets now and she'll gladly have Lammy punch anyone who threatens him.
actually, why not Ris's thoughts on RGB?
Heya, Ledah and Rean, bc why not
