He'll try to get over it! Rean's... really bad at letting his feelings go, though, so it's probably not going to work.

Rean's constantly in the mindset of "I don't deserve to be loved" as it is, though. There is no way in hell he's going to try to win over someone who's already spoken for!

But... yeah. Once Rean's heart is set, it's pretty much impossible for him to move on. So he'll just be over here like I WILL GO DOWN WITH THIS SHIP--

...it might actually take a hilariously long time for him to come out about it to his family because Rean is horrible at communicating with them

Which, to be fair, there are ways in which they're not much better, but Rean tends to just fall off the face of the earth for several months until someone (usually his sister) gets mad at him for it

It's not even because he doesn't think his family would approve, it's just... he doesn't want to be a burden to them and take up their time.

There is an aspect of worrying about approval, though. He is a noble, despite very much not wanting to be, and while he's made it pretty clear he doesn't really want anything to do with inheriting the barony there's still the matter of what other nobles think. He doesn't want to cause more problems for his family!

Being adopted at all did enough damage to them already!

As for the reverse, I don't think he would think it was weird if he never got introduced to his partner's family. So long as his partner says they love him, that's good enough for him!

18. How would your character feel about keeping a relationship secret? How would they handle that if it were necessary for some reason?

He would never want to keep a relationship secret if it were solely his own choice. But if it were necessary (or his partner insisted on it, which counts as necessary to him), he'd go through with it, although he would feel weird about it.

He doesn't need to be brought home to mom and dad or anything, but he'd spend the whole time wondering what's wrong with him that his partner doesn't want people to know they're together.

Rean loves being affectionate, and having to pretend there's nothing going on in public would make him pretty antsy. He would still do it, though, because the boy is incapable of saying "no" if he thinks it's for some greater good than him. (Spoilers: He thinks all goods are greater than him.)

He would try to salvage things until the end of time, if it was someone he was really in love with. He's not capable of handling loss or change well.

If he was just In A Relationship but not really committed to it (which I can also see him doing for the sake of making someone else happy because he thinks he Should) I think he'd wait for their cue to end it.

Rean is very physically affectionate when he's allowed to be. He'd definitely be one to just hug a partner from behind or lean on them on the couch or just brush his hand against a shoulder or head kiss or head pat or or or--

I mean, if canon is to be believed, he just refuses to accept they're exes and follows them to the ends of the goddamn earth :|

But I think he'd just try to stay on good terms, although it would definitely be awkward. He'd probably be relieved if an ex hated him, that would make it easier because he wouldn't have to try, but he'd do his best to stay amicable.

25. Would they be susceptible to falling into on-again off-again relationship patterns, or would one or two break-ups be it, no more chances?

SO VERY SUSCEPTIBLE TO ON-AGAIN-OFF-AGAIN

He would let himself be strung along for all time if it was for someone he was in love with, and he'd say it was worth it no matter how much it was hurting him.

He's very much a person who gives a LOT of "second" chances. It's pretty hard to piss him off permanently.

Not a lot. She's not fond of being touched, so she's not going to go out of her way to instigate.

Once she gets really comfy with someone, she might be willing to make them her pillow on the couch or snuggle with them in bed, but that's about it.

...as if anyone who leaves her is going to survive? 🔪

But like, assuming it doesn't devolve immediately into holy yandere terror, it's going to be Really Awkward. She'll try to stay on good terms if it's what she thinks she should do, but inevitably there's going to be a lot of bitterness and arguing that comes out anyway.

Okay, again, we have to assume that whoever tried to leave her DIDN'T wind up dead after attempt number one, but

I think she'd be pretty susceptible to on-again-off-again relationships for the same reason as Rean. Once she's in love she's loyal until the end of time, and if all she can have of her loved one is them occasionally looking her way... she'll just have to live with that and be happy with it
