he always takes a good couple of days to really recover from anesthesia but more than that
he went in for imagining (cant remember which kind honestly) as well as getting his nose scoped, and good news is they didn't see anything obviously horrible
bad news... when the vet was describing the amount of inflammation, she described the tissue as being "friable"
which means anytime they poked him a little with the scope in his nose, he bled
she was like "...yeah it... it was... he's okay but--"
so it sounds like it was a lot lmao
the vet tech also while trying to gently explain the nature of his nose while we were being discharged, I was like "--yeah I talked to the vet and she filled me in." and the vet tech had this vaguely haunted look and was like "okay great o_o "
I know it was enough that it was hard for them to get a good look at everything lmao. but they did at least get a good look at the very back, which is where we're pretty sure the problem is, and there was nothing obvious there
THE FUN PART NOW IS THE SNEEZING
I've been trying to keep him zonked out on the couch all day because whenever he wakes up the sneezing starts
stick is particularly grossed out by this. coming in from walking him she just yelled. "I DONT KNOW HOW HE DID IT BUT I WAS STANDING AND HE WAS POOPING BUT HE STILL MANAGED TO SNEEZE BLOOD ON MY HAND
so my life the past couple days has been kind of following my dog around with a towel, making sure he's laying on a towl, making sure the blankets within nose-shot are his nasty ones and not the ones we would actually want to put on our own bodies
including waking up anytime he moved around at night, since he kind of shuffles around to different places on the bed and also always gets up for a drink of water in the middle of the night
rearranging all the towels, making sure I don't bump his sore nose, etc
'friable' is never a word you want to hear...
yes gfdhkjgh I visibly winced when she said it
not a great word especially when describing the mucous membranes of a tiny dog
that sounds awful! poor baby...
