the cat I had before Olive was a silent assassin who would lie in wait for the opportunity to bolt outside and murder as much of the local wildlife as possible before trotting home for dinner like nothing was wrong

so this whole world of "noisy cats" is foreign to me

Mine are terrified of the out doors, so. Them crying at flies inside, and birds from the window? It's a thing.
