"On an evening such as this, it's hard to tell if I exist" is such a pandemic mood
bnl is always a good choice.
"stunt" was one of the first cds i ever bought for myself.
I'm forever tied to the American Sailor moon soundtrack in terms of first purchases
I wish I could point to something cool like bnl
It's okay, Jessie. We think you're cool.
lol I have curated such good wing men
LOL i have the benefit of being canadian.
and canadian content laws meant that our ratio stations had to play a certain percentage of canadian content.
so bnl (while also being very cool and good) probably got an outsized number of plays on our radio station.
lol I'm sorry for your radios during Justin beiber
LOL, luckily i'd moved away from radio listening by then. but...
it also meant that we got A LOT of the tragically hip with is another phenomenal canadian band that basically got little play outside of canada, which is a shame.
(though i do want to add that although stunt was the first album i purchased for myself, the first cd that was bought for me was the bad boys soundtrack)
(my dad went on a trip and came home and thought he was giving me a backstreet boys album. HONESTLY, no shade on bsb but i think i preferred it this way ahaha)
oh shit Aly I didn't expect you to say something like THAT
it was in HIGH ROTATION in my discman lol
i don't mean to turn this into an autobiographical recount of my (admittedly STELLAR) music taste, but the third album that rounded out my formative trifecta was alanis morrisette's jagged little pill
Aly why are you so cool I can't
what a little badass you were
oh no good sad jams here, thats a mood
this takes me back to the early 2000s...
i think i make up for it by now turning into a bts stan in my early 30s?? like i cashed in all my cool chips in my youth and now it's all gone.
at least bts has a pretty wide range of fans across the ages lol
(also i actually feel no shame and will defend this choice to the death, haha,)
BUT ALSO ON THE TOPIC OF BNL...
i can heartily recommend the "bathroom sessions" on youtube:
