I don't know if I did the right thing. I was in a zoom meeting about mask mandates coming down, and this LGBTQ representative was talking about generational trauma with viruses and I DM'ed a person connected to the counseling center about having a joint support group mtg with the disability and the LGBTQ support groups about generational trauma with viruses
and the disability community not wanting the mask mandate to come down at our university. I just wanted to lighten the counseling center's workload by giving them a larger group and I might have given them more work 
I think I was deferential saying I don't want to step on anyone's toes and it's up to you blah blah blah but idk if i was overstepping

I think it's nice of you to suggest doing a joint group session, more support is good I think if they're down
I worded it in a way saying it's basically up to them so I hope its ok 
I agree with hannahcalifornia, I think this was a great idea!
And if it's too much work, they won't do it. But it sounds like it was an objectively good and thoughtful suggestion!
