Oh boy, the debate really is whetehr or not he's good or evil.
Not likely to correlate to Hazbin given Crowley was an English occultist, but he was an interesting historical figure.
Honestly, from what I've read of the man, the only similarity between Crowley and Hazbin's Alastor is in their names
Honestly, the two wouldn't be likely to get along: Crowley was very anti-Christian meanwhile Alastor practices New Orlean Voodoo which has roots in Roman Catholicism, not just the voodoo brought over via the African slave trade
I suppose you could say their magic styles would be a bit at odds with one another
Oh yeah. the magics are totally at odds.
"Sexual magic" sounds like something out of one of those "Sex" settings they have for fanfic or whatever.
It wouldn't surprise me if that's the original inspiration for the fanfic trope
Stranger things have happened. Stranger correlations.
Fanfic writers are very thirsty
But what makes me wonder is if there isn't a wealth of lewd writing of the same sort that eventually made its way through the underbelly of subculture until it manifested in contemporary....(can you call i that?") lewd fiction
Like I know his writings have been available for all this time, but at the same time doncha think that someone must have had to write some manner of fiction or practice his magic for it to manifest in modern times?
Like obviously we've got the occult nuts who could have kept it alive.
I'm more interested in stuff like the bases built in Antartica
I've looked into Enochian stuff a little. It's mildly interesting
