so tell us about the character
he's a smart mouthed beginner mage enlisted to help the main character and "protect" her on the beginning of her journey
in reality he's only just begun learning magic as he's neglected it his whole life but is good with a sword. she's used magic her whole life and knows well what to do in battle and emergency. but the queen insisted she take one of the castle guards and he's the only one who knew any magic who volunteered.
