I've talked about it before but with DC's pride event coming up I'm thinking about it again and I have hopes that will probably go unfulfilled.

My big hope is that they'll make him ace because when I read his comics in high school he was the closet thing I had to ace representation, like it really hit the nail on the head. But at this point I would go for him being bi, pan or gay. Just give me anything.

He was so heavily implied to be ambiguously not straight for the longest time. It was a running gag, and it was cannon that stuff like Poison Ivy and White Lighting's seduction based powers didn't work on him.

And the whole "he just wasn't mature enough" excuse really rubs me the wrong way, both as an ace person and taking into considering Kon had the exact same level of maturity.

I could MAYBE see that being an excuse in very early Impulse, if not for the fact that he got a maybe-crush on Rose pretty early on. And he's shown to not be oblivious to what sex is, he's just uninterested.

He also thinks that people who are easly manipulted by sex appeal are kinda weird. He just, doesn't get it.

I'm also just sick of characters being coded some form of LGBT+ and having it snached from us. Particularly sick of ace coded characters (and ever cannon ace characters) being made straight because "ace people are boring though".

But I've also seen people that read him as gay and still figuring himself out when he was Impulse, so I would be sad if he wasn't ace but I could totaly get behind that being made canon, too.

For now though, I'm sticking with the headcannon that he's ace and bi-romantic. I also think he lands somewhere on the non-binary scale, but is still kinda figuring himself out on all fronts and doen't really have lables for anything.

not really in too much of a rush to put lables on it either.

For I'm looking forward to Bart getting in on the drama between Kon and Tim coming to terms with their feelings for each other.

I don't know if he's someone they would go to with that, but if Tim in particular is still struggling with whether or no he's straight I could see Bart just shrugging and being like "i'm not", in a kind of, "if you are, there's nothing wrong with that" sort of way.

and also "you're not alone, if it turns out you are"

I see him as demi. It's more that he just doesn't notice people in general until they become "real" to him in a personal way. And even then, hormones aren't the first impulse to follow.

Yeah, Bart is attracted to personalities, not physical parts. He also doesn't really see the point in those divisions because they just make things more confusing. And people are already confusing.

I could totally have seen Cissie and Cassie cornering him during the Young Justice days to practice braiding his hair and he doesn't even realize it's a "girl" thing, he's just soaking up the attention.

FMA it could be interesting to delve into his feelings on that relationship, but man, the thing he had with Val was borderline emotionally/psychologically abusive. and it's just gross they even tried to get him in a relationship when he was basically (retroactively) in a 'Big' situation.

One of the reasons I play Kid Flash Bart is the memorized a library bits and stuff. He can know a little bit of anything, even when he may not be able to find a use for it.

Bugly42 lol! That's actually a big reason I avoid playing Kid Flash Bart. Too much of a commitment to looking things up and remembering things. XD I'm already a chronically forgetful person playing a character with an eidetic memory at least Impulse Bart and I have a shared level of ignorance
