my personal favorites this year were Moldova, Norway, and Finland, in that order

Moldova was just so happy, so bouncy~ and I'm super proud of their televote score too

and then Finland... I like how it sounds (though my siblings had to explain what their song is actually about because my ace oblivious ass didn't pick up on it... that was a conversation...)

I also liked Italy's entry going into it, though I feel like they weren't as good tonight as they had been at their national final, but they were still good

Lithuania sang really well and had a really good stage presence

Serbia's entry was really interesting

I liked Armenia's staging

Australia had a good performance too

and Spain and the UK were amazing too--

The UK got second place. That is a rare sentence seeing as this is the first they've broken top ten since I started watching (2010)

But you know what, Space Man deserved it.

And Slow Mo deserved third.

So yeah. Good year this year.

The hosts were good too. They're no Petra Mede - no one can replace her - but they were interesting.

And I really thought it was sweet that in the first semifinal they brought in the guy who was going to sing in 2020 for the interval act. So he got to sing at Eurovision after all. ^^
