last time i went to the grocery store i witnessed a shooting in broad daylight, so
they're not wrong
Also today we went to Sweetwater, the largest music store in the US 
It would be nice if we could stop for a bathroom break at least 😒
Safety is part of the reason I left my job. It is true that downtown Chicago is not as safe as it was a few years ago, pre-pandemic. There are plenty of good eats though, other than Alinea

Oh I love a tasting menu, but that's spendy. Hey Wildfire and its flights is always there! 
we ended up eating in the hotel restaurant in Rockford, a city famous for its Files, I hear
Don't forget the Peaches from A League of Their Own. I'd far, far prefer eating in Chicago over Rockford. I don't know if it's improved but Rockford has made all the worst lists for places to live and is near the top for crime rate.
