sometimes I just come back to them to have a cry about good kids trying their best even though they're trapped way over their heads

I rewatched the movie recently for a commission and I had feelings all over again
it's just so perfect? and wholesome? and it's REALLY good for catharsis
yesss
like when you really need to cry but you can't just sit and cry about what's really wrong, you can channel it into SOBBING over these teenagers trying so hard
with this watch, it really struck me that like. they were NEVER in a fair situation
at no point in this film is it like "ok they got this"
they were summoned to go into a suicide mission
and Jason's made aware that it's not even ABOUT them? That Zordon basically just plans to wait for jason to fucking die so he can slide in and be alive again?
and even with that knowledge he's like "yeah but we're still gonna do the thing"
