and after the motto he acknowledges it all "where did this come from???? oh well, you can have it offers it to delia

so anyway the common fake team rocket names for them at the time were samson and delilah because C'MON

but now that he has a cousin named samson we can't do that anymore

BUT

I've come up with something even BETTER

that actually goes with the team rocket theming

samuel stays samuel, but delia's fake name is "clementine"

now as for JP theming... idk

like musashi and kojiro were rivals, and then yamato = another ship like musashi and kosaburo = "some numbered (I forget which one) son" like kojiro is

but I don't think there's any link between yamato and kosaburo like there is between musashi and kojiro

sam uses physical stealth to get in, like it's basically one giant "silent assassin, suit only" homage, and there has to be a bit where he uses rotom to possess a security camera so he can get past it because that little shit might as well earn its keep >

and then delia leads the social stealth to get out

(also you know you wanna see them in TR grunt uniforms, they'd both look great)

like "clementine" is like "oh, the motto? ...of course we know the motto! PREPARE FOR TROUBLE! ....kricketots STOMPS SAM'S FOOT" I SAID PREPARE FOR TROUBLE, COME ON SAM, WE PRACTICED THIS"

(also sam is wearing a wig so they can't see his grey hair)

(also also they point out how he's a little old to be a grunt but delia makes up a story about him having a bad run-in with some litwick that took years off his life)

sadly I think in the anime butch and cassidy have left team rocket apparently? which sucks I luv them

My Heart Will Go On (terrible recorder meme)plays this song over the unspoken oak-ash father-son relationship that was thrown away in favor of shoving kukui down our throats

(I'm also pissed that the reason sam didn't show up like at all in XY is the writers FORGOT HE EXISTED. like there was an interview, they asked them why, they were basically "whoops we forgot he existed")

especially since knowing what we do know, it was one of the last chances to have ishizuka as oak ;_;

oh and there's a bit where sam goes DELIA WHAT WERE YOU THINKING GIVING THEM MY REAL NAME

and she's like "half the world thinks your first name is professor, you're fine"

a lot of people loved XY but like... I didn't even like the concept of Serena in general and it didn't really appeal to me in general so I wasn't interested in it either

nah, the part I didn't like about Serena was the retconning her into being First Girl, and how a LOT of her personality revolved around Ash

I'm fine with Pokemon coordinators, contests in the anime are a lot cooler than I gave them credit for (at least in gens 3 and 4, the Journeys ones might suck, IDK)

(also her retcon established professor oak's pokemon camp, which I rly don't like, it's just another thing that turns him into "celebrity first, somebody's friend and neighbor second")

like back in the early days when he was just a respected scientist instead of this huge celebrity, I preferred that

I think the best compromise would be like in orange islands, where he's a huge celebrity among pokemon researchers and the like, but laymen are like "professor who???"

like tracey and max and apparently goh are huge nerds, it's ok for them to know who he is, but John Q. Pokemon Trainer probably shouldn't other than "oh yeah he has a wikipedia page I've never read" or "oh yeah he wrote one of my textbooks"
