so I looked up average height of a man in victorian times, google says average male height (not sure which country, didn't check) was 5'5"

so I'll make him 5'4" cuz I like even numbers

and then I checked weight for 5'4" dudes and I see him on the slender side so

google says 117 -143 is normal bmi for 5'4" male so 120-125?

I was wondering why the person writing the article called it a ringer instead of a clapper, thought maybe it was a us vs uk thing, googled something like "what is a bell clapper called in uk" and found the vulgar slang

but I'm pretty happy with the solution I found, "ringing mechanism" is pretty unambiguous even if you know nothing about how bells work
