By which I mean: as much as I want to be an active participant in the whole thing, I'm pretty sure Augustine is going to be, in fact, In(to) The Woods already when the challenge gets issued!

so he won't get to join in the "no, I'm fighting!" arguments, which is ... good ... but also then he gets to feel everything that's happening anyway, from both participants, with John's injuries and Illarion's Mood... while he's still in the woods, possibly fighting a grue, who knows...

he'll get to have a compass, though! with SOMEONE. I gotta figure out who wants to join up with him, now that I'm late! and then he'll have his compass lead him Where He Needs To Go ... which is the Salt Lake, just in time to drag Illarion out of beasthood, just in time for him to drag Kaworu Beast into the lake.

(In the process of the debeasting, Augustine is going to make a Poor Choice and have some Repercussions and Consequences to deal with somewhat later, because I have done very little with his Corruption to date, despite having made him a nice chart with pictures and everything!)

5) probably also something with the trick-or-treat masks, the parade-at-large, refreshing my memory about what is even going on with the rest of the event options...

6) there's also going to be a lot of fallout (heh) following John & Gideon's canon updating, which only starts with the duel.

7) And Paul! who is on the beach, being a beach bonfire, except for when he's parked on the Bone House lawn instead. Augustine needs to have a conversation with him regarding forgiveness (probably, because they've talked about it before, theoretically, in something that never actually got finished...).

I sincerely need to write a TL for Palamedes, either in a catchall or on the event post, letting him do his wacky shit too, which — again! — requires me to sit my ass down and focus on the event post when I can fully process what's going on and what is Not The Same as DC. For pity's sake he still doesn't realize that Dulcie is here!
