I always enjoyed teaching that era of history to my 3rd graders, they were so interested & sad that people could treat other people that way

beil: I guess it is the sad reality of it and the fact that some of my students had grandparents that went through segregation.

our student base rarely has kids whose families were directly affected by segregation. My favorite book to read with the kids was
