That girl on TikTok dragging people who don’t read “classical literature” is annoying. I read the classics but they don’t do the same as a good fantasy, romance, thriller..etc. Who cares what people read? 
The problem with classical literature now is that some of it reads like fantasy. If you're 17 and have never lived in a world without cell phones and computers and the internet and everything? Reading The Scarlet Letter is going to seem weird as hell.
