when writing top levels... Is short and sweet better than long prompts? Is having several prompts better or just a couple to pick from?

^^ I'm honestly curious how people like to do their top levels.

depends on what it is. I usually do several just to give more types of situations to respond to. there's been plenty of top levels I've skipped over because the situation presented wasn't one that fit my character at all.
I was gonna try and make a poll but I'm on mobile and can't be bothered dealing with that lol
coeurl: mmhm I tend to go more, to offer a variety as well ^^

Personally I prefer several short-ish prompts. By short I mean like. 3-5 sentences. But also having several prompts increases the chance that I'll find something I wanna reply to.

UNLESS. Plotting has happened in advance in which case 1 prompt of any size is fine.
chaggit: i normally do around 4-6 prompts for each character but they're sometimes on the longish side. I've been considering doing shorter ones because....well...im lazy now!

But it can be liberating!

I don't think I've done more than three prompts in ages... and I guess they're like. medium-sized? medium-short.

I tend to keep the meaty introspection and stuff back so it feels fresher delving into in the threads, if that makes sense
Kai_lis: that makes a lot of sense actually!
ultimaweapon: i can see how it would. Write like no one's watching lol
