there are some NPCs that aren't, and that's okay, it's just best for them to avoid games that allow wols

but if the NPC and wol players are having fun, what's the issue?

crystalzero for real, like, all the WoL players knew whether or not said NPC had any idea who their oc was before the muses started interacting in game. I played Pinya as being sad but ultimately resolute when no one knew her as their WoL - and I'd never assume that people outside of my RP circle in-game would know her

yeah, and as someone playing the imminently shippable Haurchefant, i was very clear with the cast that while none of the WoLs in game would be "his" that i was very much interested in exploring whether he would fall in love with any of these disparate people, and would be very open to shipping
