I thought this winter would drag on slowly forever but no we're suddenly that close
/grabs calendar and shakes it
almost there… i look forward to your trip pictures, especially of food.
it's Feb 6 and we fly out March 6 exactly
we're staying in a ryokan on Miyajima plus a fancy onsen hotel in Bessho, so there will be super cool food
and thankfully just about 2 weeks too early for sakura so we won't have to fight crowds in Kyoto or any of the other super scenic hanami places
all we have to buy, yet, is handkerchiefs and new socks. all I have to sew is Rose's new jacket
just have to uh. clean the upstairs bathroom before our housesitter sees it
it also means I have that much time to finish 2 commissions shit
one can be done this week but can I do a full Bleach captain plus ombre-dyed haori? /straps in
OH MY GOD, are you doing Shunsui?!? The uniform part shouldn't be too hard since kimono are all rectangles....
yes, yes I am
yeah the sewing is easy, the dye and applique work on the kimono is going to take time
plus it's four full garments plus a juban collar instead of a fifth layer
I reseached the flowers on the print-canon version, if you want me to dig that up. I might be able to find it...?
oh, no I already have that info. I did a Shunsui kimono like...10 years ago now, so I had all my notes
It's almost here! I hope the trip is fucking phenomenal!
I will slather photos when it's done
and slather photos of Japan lbr
holds my hands out patiently for all these photos
oh I love Paolo, he's so friendly
he and HarbLife are my favorite travel youtubers
