When I hear myself speak, I speak clearly and enunciate (even if I trip over my words a lot because dyslexia is mean)... But then I hear myself on video or recorded and my accent sounds so thick I can barely understand what I'm saying! What's with that??
me but with my lisp, it is much more obvious to me recorded and i'm like ?????
it just doesn't make sense!
I wound up taking dialect classes in college. It helped that a lot, except that I keep slipping when I don't think about it and my accent comes back. >.<
