This is geared towards low-income and/or Tribal land households but if anyone in your household is on Medicaid or SSI you can qualify for discounts on your internet service.

My timeline should be public/this should be replurkable so please feel free to share this around as you never know who this could help.
The application process is super painless and I got approved in less than 24 hours.

you will also qualify if you are on SNAP. There is a short interview, but it is simple and mostly involves them getting the information down correct so they can connect you.

As a note, if you're working with Xfinity to get this applied to your account and experience any trouble, it might be the easiest to go to a physical location. I tried for ages to get them to put this on my account and ended up never getting it in the end.

if youre working with AT&T they may "charge" you a couple of cents per month to ensure you come and check in on the site. You can talk with a representative online and tell them you are in the program, which they will verify, and theyll remove those charges.
