I just haven't really had much I've felt like talking about.
I did finish a few games in the past few weeks though.
I'll try to be no spoilers, but uh.
Fire Emblem Engage was really good.
Yes the story was a lot less complicated than the last couple entries but you know what, sometimes you just want something light and tropey.
I really liked the Emblems as a system, I really liked what they did about weapon durability (you don't have to solve the problem of the Jaegan's Silver Sword if you don't give the Jaegan a Silver Sword), the Somniel felt lived in but didn't feel too big to do a quick sweep of between maps, checking up on everyone after each map was nice...
My only real complaint is that the ending fell a little bit flat, but I'm hoping that the DLC expands on some of what came up there.
I also got through Stray finally!
Great game. The cat is super cute, the robots are really personable, and I really appreciated the little subtle cues in the level design that meant that even in a chaotic cityscape without a map, I never found myself getting completely lost.
Not so fond of the Zerks (which I call the Nuisances), but that's fine, none of those sequences were too long or difficult.
Naturally I ended up doing the creepiest part around midnight, which I keep joking to my family about.
And then today I finally finished Kirby Star Allies. Yes I'm several years late, it's been on my backlog for a while.
It was cute. I feel as though it's not the best Kirby game I've ever played, but it was cute.
It's also taught me that maybe I do better at that sort of platformer in smaller doses, but.
Not sure what I'll pull off my backlog next (it's long), but even pulling one off is good ^^
