Like absolutely the focus on the girls is wonderful and I'm always a slut for Bees and I'm loving the very personally focused character arcs going on but the thing that I realized about this season is that
Like, this is a canonical jamjar experience for RWBY.
They got transported to another world. A world that has extremely weird rules and characters in it.
And I am living for their reactions to it.
sasageyo Right?? This is so funny to me.
get to carry out character arcs and have conversations they might otherwise might not? yeah, sounds right
toonish ROFL I will always be upfront that I am Bees trash and literally any time they're on screen together CRWBY has 1000% percent of my attention BUT YES.
I just app'd Blake to a group and she's going through the exact same thing of "wow just like my stories!!" lmao
urbaninja The whole Tiny!wby is what really hammered it home for me because
how many jamjar games have Giant/Tiny events?
And talking animals or creatures that are just completely alien and weird-looking to them or getting their shit stolen at the very beginning and having to turn in AC to get it back regain it somehow.
Classic jamjar stuff here.
I've played Yang in a bunch of jamjars with assorted RWBY casts over the years and I am just...loving seeing these characters react in canon to actual silly shenanigans I've RPed them doing.
But like, I just can't get over how much this Ever After plot feels like a classic Jamjar game plot, right down to the "Working out how to get back home" and the "helpfully unhelpful NPCs".
Little and the Curious Cat especially feel like such classic Mod NPCs and I say that as affectionately as possible. Especially the Curious Cat for the sneaky meta humor.
Man, if I had the time or wherewithal to run a game of my own, I would totally be tempted to set it in Ever After.
i still haven't watched any episodes but .... this plurk sounds like RWBYs arriving fresh from canon into games after this volume be like (NOT) AGAIN!!!??? ( but also yes, that books thing sure sounds like the blake experience of world hopping, been there, done that too XD )
baranohanabira LOL omigosh, yes! Any RWBY post-V9 just gonna be like "Notto disu shitto again"
Especially Weiss. Omigosh, I both feel for and admire any Weiss player that throws a post-V9 Weiss into a jamjar after this.

Just this all over again.
weiss is so fed up with the ever after, she'd die if it happened again lmao
RIP in pepperoni Ice Queen.
Rofl any post-V9 RWBY just like...casually rating any jamjar world they find themselves in like its a BnB.
"Nice place. Characters could use some work though. 8/10" "Not enough setting variety. But the new power-ups were cool I guess." "i hate this place and everyone in it."
auste Right?? Here's hoping for emotion-affecting flowers or animal transformations or some other shenanigans next. Give me every jamjar event cliche please.
