1990s Christmas Rock music~

you jest but I have literal rock christmas albums from the industry. pretty sure Five Iron Frenzy did some kickass covers on one, oh and Sixpence's "You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch" on that album that didn't get the rights to use any of the songs so it was immediately banned. I have a copy.

worst is probably that yeah, despite the religion there were a lot of shitty things happening in the industry - drug problems, racism, contract breaches, etc etc. it was definitely not all sunshine happy times

it is shit that a couple of very talented musicians got blackballed for being gay but in the end they got free and are living their best lives now so that's good

Jennifer Knapp especially, she was a super great songwriter so being able to move on and just make good music was the best move for her
