Starting from 0 is pretty easy these days, though I've had to dig up old guides and I've realized by joining a guild and playing dumb that lol this game is just OVERWHELMINGLY big for new players.

You get through 1 region and then you open the world map and it's forever of fogged out landscape you have to unlock

You get to the desert and you start dying from the heat (it's dot damage)

It's quite daunting from a noob perspective

I played a few months on NA before switching to SEA

i've never tried boop. i really should some day

It's. Amazing. But it can be life consuming if you dive in head first

They truly built the game as a LIFE game. And it shows.

Like a lot of ongoing MMOs, they've put so much effort into reforming the game from old ways into what it is now. It's just player-friendly, without taking away the challenge that players enjoy

I agree with a lot of what's said in that video. You can see how NA had a rough time with Kakao and it's thriving now.

SEA was always under PA's own control and the price tag on items in the cash shop reflects that

SEA is way cheaper

In part, currency exchange is a big reason

But it's really interesting to go between two servers and see the cultural differences and also just design differences

Because it's a bit jarring

For the SEA account, I've spent probably ... erm. 1000usd? But I buy costumes for alts I'll never use. IT BRINGS ME JOY. DON'T JUDGE ME. lol but it holds no in-game mechanical value after costume 1

And you can get some costumes for free even the premium type

For the NA account I'm being frugal

I just spent the 60 mentioned in the video for the tent and~ maybe 3 costumes to get a girl pretty'd up for the long grind ahead

Still have spare which I'll put into the subscription esque items when the freebies run out

I have 60 days of freebies atm though so it'll be a while

It's weird to trust a game developer company these days

But I'm definitely shying away from newer or upcoming games because I just don't trust other companies
