2018年已白髮蒼蒼的Anders接受《衛報（The Guardian）》採訪時表示，照片Earthrise確實改變了自己的人生觀，削減了對宗教的信仰，所有一切環繞著教宗轉？頭上有個超級電腦會計算昨天的小比利是否是乖孩子？這些已經沒道理了。Anders說自己已成為Richard Dawkins（科學家、生物學家、無神論者）的支持者。
