I had no weekend so I'mma just. take today off.
have my coffee, pet some cats
and yes good have some relax
god i always get so nostalgic looking at bleach costumes
the dye job is more subtle than it should be but given that the collar is the same fabric before dyeing, I think the color is at least right
it looks correct at least
the one time I needed more of a sharp cutoff than a soft, gradual ombre
tbh unless the client is married to accuracy, this actually improves on the design. Bleach isn't exactly known for color in its designs, after all....
(90% of your cast wears black and white)
and even then, with the eye of a masq judge applied, i'd never call this "inaccurate", since like you said, that is soft as hell
i had to look at the photo several times
my client is pretty chill, so I'm cool there.
J'accuse! That IS the anime one, not the one I researched!
(Still a lot of work, of course.)
I've got a list (somewhere) of all the flowers on the manga depiction, which is far more complex a design than what they settled on for the anime.
Even if it's not 'all that ombre', it's a downright edible shade of pink.
right? like, I don't blame the simplified design, people gotta draw that moving around, but it's so different
What's that technique called when the texture is static, and the animation moves over it? That would work for Shunsui.
oh god, I know what you're talking about but I can't recall the term
i don't think there... is a term..
i just call it "that thing they do in gankutsuou and mononoke"
perspective-incorrect texturing. that makes sense
