My initial idea is crime adjacent, or like, scavenging, although I’m little worried Finn’s talents will be lost there, especially with a lot of people already leaning that way
(Although ultimately if that ends up being the most FUN, i will do it anyway, because i care more about that!)
But i am not 100% sold on any one thing yet
Finn’s AGE remains a problem*, but I’m trying to figure out if there are any areas that it could be a strength too....BESIDES INTERNING ANYWHERE BECAUSE FINN’S NOT GOING TO CONVINCE ANYONE HE’S INTERN MATERIAL
maybe even talking with the orphans, because lbr he's at that age where he's the Cool Almost Adult in kids eyes, but possibly relatable enough they talk more to him? and that's on main world
MINING AREA actually sounds a little interesting too because in a meta context it has the least recreation which makes me think there must be something of value to learn there, and it has some direct connections to the ghost matter too
finn slipping things into pockets down in the shafts
whimsea: YES that’s true. There seems to be SOMETHING going on with that
i'm just spitballing, the teens have that just about age where they're adult Enough to be given more freedom/responsibility, young Enough that the kiddos might talk to them like they won't adults, etc
YEAH for sure that could be something. I’m definitely curious about like, why the increased number of orphans, why the extensive medical knowledge
yeah, and the info drop of something ghost matter related/the fact under 12s aren't allowed in from out of system/what is killing parents/what about pregnancies around here goodness
but yes let Finn live his scavenger dreams
It sounded like the ghost matter was killing people -- hence the amount of orphans. It kills locals after one use of powers as far as I gleamed from context. Orbers are getting a boost from the orb in order to have more leniency from the effects of the ghost matter.
AisuYoukai: I think that's right. And uh... Sabriel's getting flashbacks to the second mission, and how the orbholder was killing people and taking their powers and lifespans
wei wuxian immediately wanted to adopt an orphan on e23-b so clearly he's just gonna hide them in his coat when they finish the mission
lmao man how many orphans are on the ximilia crew
I feel like most of them are
theres orphans out the ass on here yeah
there are so many orphans
wei wuxian going "okay so we adopt them all right, thanks"

They’re all gonna be Compromised
I feel like there are more orphans than characters with parents
sobs, it's right to the heart
i wouldn't be surprised lmao
I mean, Sabriel was recently orphaned, but yeah, people suffering from something they can't fight directly is going to hit her right in the Feels
all the former orphans like MY PEOPLE!!!
and yeah if the ghost matter is orphaning them then it's... extra... what the heck is going on
a mood, Sabriel, i feel that's another common denominator for a lot of the crew
god they really are all mostly orphans
finn is like, a double orphan
if you count 'discarding your humanity and taking new form' as death LMAO
... aslkdfj sounds uh, extra enough to count regardless
one normal orphan set of parents, one existential orphaning LMAO
LMAO DOUBLE ORPHAN LIKE WEI WUXIAN!!! except via lots of dead parents not shedding humanity
HOW ELSE WOULD YOU DESCRIBE IT
there are so many orphans its incredible
orphan support group, also supporting the orphans
Sani_Caranza: jake is a 1.5 orphan, but he killed his bio dad so like
he feels very good about it
(he does not feel very good about it)
nodding to each other, one with ptsd
Im not sure if it counts in your 40s
LIke eventually, youre just an adult, who murdered his dad
(and feels GREAT about it, don't forget that part)
(that guy was gonna murder his kids, no regrets

)
ciri seconds, good motivation
sometimes a dad just needs murdering
I got work weekend hell but I am here to DO THINGS WITH FINN!!!!
im still not sure yet, my plans aren't totally set in stone. What did you have in mind?
