i get nervous with the fever and covid bc strep throat is going around and if one person coughs they'll blame it on you lmao (we had a strep outbreak at work last week) but food poisoning isn't contagious

Although i feel like I’m realizing the matter is complicated by me and my coworkers all being friends. Like hang out outside of work friends. WHICH IS VERY GREAT 90% OF THE TIME

And the 10% it’s not great is stuff like this, because the barriers between life and work are thinner

I would hope if they're your friends for real they wouldn't judge you for needing a day off

It’s more that, it’s a service industry job, it’s just challenging to take short notice time. I don’t want to make anyone else work harder. But, they’ll cover it. We do it all the time, it’s not the end of the world
