Something didn't add up. I think even with the descriptions I gave here

He knew one of our officers often advertised the guild. Even though that officer hadn't been online in over 24 hours so couldn't have convinced him to join us within guild departure cooldown timeframe

He knew top frag even though he isn't mentioned in any of our public advertisements and we try to keep his name out of anything outside of our discord server

Today I get a message from top frag

are they family members

they are, arent they

So top frag sends me a screenshot with a massive kill count and some trash talking from our new member. "How'd you get this? You aren't on the kill list. You talking with him or know one of the people he killed?"

He just sends me cheeky emotes

I thought that meant I told you so

So I ask "Okay, do I need to talk with him?"

Top frag says "You are talking with him"

FUCK OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

So not family. IT'S JUST THE SAME PERSON

But top frag and this guy were in game staring at each other. He had logged into both accounts from 2 laptops

Apparently the account was a friend's. Friend quit. Top frag inherited it. Friend was known to be toxic, had a nasty reputation and top frag just completely ran with the persona

So the story and screenshots of them murdering each other were real

Albeit older than we thought initially

Top frag said he wanted to know why I would let someone like that into the guild

And was testing if I would give into dumb threats and let this horrible person in

lol all I said was "I let you in already, didn't I"

He stopped asking questions lmao

Considering the game atmosphere and open world pvp. It is extremely useful to have scary people on your side. It's just whether you can get them to listen to you or not that's the question

Best part, we aren't telling others that it's top frag. Gossip King, to his credit, worked out who it was very quickly

But the only ones who know are Gossip King, myself, and one other officer who I told but top frag didn't

We've all agreed not to tell the old man so we can mess with him later LMAO

We have to wait for that account to get a name change though, 2 close calls for war just because people want to hunt him. The name change also does the favor of wiping friends' lists and old journal entries remain unchanged

So it's hard to track, but not impossible if you know individual character names. For now though, it's enough.
