Pretty sure the 4/19 update was only a change in guidelines to recommend a second dose of the original bivalent booster for certain age groups. It’s still the same original/Omicron BA.4-BA.5, just a 2nd round. But yeah, there’s talk about them rolling the XBB variants into a new booster by fall .
Apparently this one does an OK job against Omicron XBB which is apparently the dominant strain right now, but I’ll be happier when they tune it up specifically
CoyotePace: you should get a second dose of this booster if you can. I got it because it's been 7 months since mine and I am about to travel internationally and be in several airports and airplanes and most people aren't masking anymore 😑😷
misscat: btw I took your advice after doing a bit more research,and went ahead and got my second bivalent shot on Saturday. Just the usual extra sleepiness for a day.
