it calms her down when shes super wild and crazy and she'll just like, chill in ur arms and doze a bit ;;
omg that's so adorable...baby...
it's SO CUTE.... i'm in awe of how cute she can be
that's so impossibly cute aaah
she sounds like it!! what else does she do?
divinesaber: she also gets super lovey when shes tired, she'll climb all over us and snuggle and try to nurse from us fjdnhdjs... but the other night i slept cuddling her bc it makes her happy
moepuff: she is SO sweet and lovely, im super happy we have her
NO THAT'S SO CUTE....even trying to nurse on you nkansd

how is she so precious
RIGHT she hasn't been successful, partly because she goes for the face when she does that, but... ;o; i think it's bc she got separated from her mother really early
so she kinda latched onto us, mostly my partner, as her mother
not sure how old she was at the time, but she was about 8 weeks when we met her at the shelter; she's around 12 weeks now
yeahhh if she'd been at the shelter any length of time she was probably taken a little too young. kittens between 6-10 weeks can imprint.
source: there is a very large fuzzy beast on my foot.
8 weeks is weaned and so shelters and fosters will adopt out because, well, space is at a premium, but 12 weeks is usually a little better for attachment issues down the line.
I'd suggest doing things now to help prevent separation anxiety getting too bad. Just small things like treats and playtime when you get home from being away. she may always be a little clingy, that's fine, but you can help lay the groundwork to make it less stressful for her if you have to leave her at home for a while.
thank you for the tips! that all sounds good c: luckily my brother works from home and my partner will be going to school only two days of the week, so big events aside there's always someone home with her at the moment
but we'll definitely try those out as well!!!
afaik she doesn't get particularly upset when i leave for work, but she does follow me to the door most days and just watches me go from a distance (aka not at the door like LET ME GO WITH YOU)
I mostly pass it on because I made a lot of mistakes with Zephyr, lol
he has so much Anxiety he gets upset if I'm in the Incorrect Room.
awwww poor guy. and poor you, i'm sure it causes some anxiety for you as well
it is a vicious cycle lol
we are working on it! but it'll be easier to work on with a kitten than an 11 year old cat.
that's true, she's a little more trainable at this stage heheh
