Merrill knew something was up

Ru was very easy to shove into the backpack carrier

Merrill was hiding, fussy and very unimpressed

She eventually, through luring of a freeze dried fish, emerged from under the bed and was snatched into her own carrier

The entire ride there must have been hilarious for onlookers

I had Ru on my back, Merrill on the side in a long carrier and my own bag scooting along with my scooter

Merrill gladly sang the songs of her people to any/every passerby

Ru was content to just chill. He's such a menace until he's spooked and then he's like. The best cat ever. lol

NOT A PEEP. Just staring wide eyed t everything

Both of them had their long-due rabies shot and Ru had to get chip'd. Easy, painless, in and out quickly

So next vet trip is the health check-up 7 days before the flight

So I procrastinated the longest I could

Yay for necessary vet trips!

Yessss very necessary. I wasn't sure how it would go logistically with the scooter

But it worked out fine. I think it was easier for them as well since I could pause when I needed to and give them a break without too much motion sickness. Merrill has a lot of trouble with it

It meant a 20 min scooter ride became 30-40ish but they benefitted for it
