Very existential... That seems like that's what is often available...

If the pricing is anything like we have at the library book sales... They are really "way too cheap". I've kind of gotten into arguments buying "book sale" books at the library... "No that's too much to give us..."

JigmeDatse: interesting. These were $2 for hardbacks and $1 for paper. I'm sure they want to make sure they sell.
JigmeDatse says

Yeah, that's more than I was even offering it was about $1.00 for hardbacks and $0.25 for soft cover, and they thought that was too much.

Maybe looked too poor to be able to afford paying that sort of money? It could have been a day I'd spent all day out only to pop in at the library because I had time before the next bus.

If they can't afford them, it's a good reason to get a library card. ☹️
JigmeDatse says

Yep. And I did have a card. It was just nice to buy books which had been previously loved.

weird how pertainant it is to problems in satellite navigation, radio communications and global time standards, among other things.

for sure, if you don't have the appropriate educational background, but regarding this book specifically, remarkably accessible if you happen to be a trained physicist/mathematician/engineer.

Maybe you should write articles/books translating for laymen.
Arbieroo has

thought about it many times - nearest I've come is plurking about some scientific topics.

looking for self-employment options for next calander year. Not sure what the quickest/least hassle/lowest external interference way to turn potential popular science writing into income might be. It occurs to me that actually, a fair number of my Goodreads reviews are a former of attempted popular science education.
