last week my mom was chaperoning a school trip for my youngest nephew's class

they came down to go to the zoo (it's free), the capitol, and a couple museums

I met them at the zoo because it was easy to get to, why not, hang out with my mom and my nephew, it's cool

one of the kids in her group was a girl (identifying as such at least but def a future contender for generqueer status) who was surprised when my mom accidentally used she for me bc...lbr I don't look it at all anymore

but I cut my mom slack because she gave birth to me, 48 years of habit is hard to break, it's fine, I'm not offended

but she actually apologized on the phone bc she knew it was weird and hard

I'm over the moon, this is A Step

also, Madison is still safe, I got free stickers and ribbon pins from the Trans Minister and PFLAG at the farmer's market today

while the jesus people looked awkward and out of place trying to set up next to PFLAG fuck you jesus people

hell ye

and then I took a nap and missed today's sumo highlights, gotta stay up till 11:30 for the next repeat
