I feel like I’ve been tossing around gettin a bike for like, 8 years and it is so nice to finally have one

I took her for a 3 mile ride and it was great; i LOVED biking as a kid so it really satisfied a very like, specific part of my brain that missed it I think

I tried tackling a manayunk hill too and did better than I expected so that feels less daunting

Just generally, since I don’t have a drivers license, having a bike makes the city feel so much more accessible to me....places that would have been annoying/expensive train rides or prohibitively long walks are suddenly within my grasp

I’m happy with the place I got it too....the Trek store is like, right off the major bike/river trail going through Philadelphia and close to my house and they have everything I need/do all the servicing and were really, REALLY nice about making the adjustments, explaining everything to me etc
