the time in which I have gotten into a good rhythm, I'm going to the gym regularly, I'm feeling good about the workouts, I'm feeling motivated
but activity is about....10% of fitness results and if I want those muscle gains I must turn my eye to the kitchen and start eating more protein and less bread
(still bread just less. I'm so susceptible to bread)
EXTREMELY RELATABLE i say as i'm about to dump protein powder into my pancake mix
I was looking at old pictures of myself and I was so jacked and it was SO HARD TO ACHIEVE and I've been trying to get there while not dialling in my nutrition and my progress has been slowwwww
(like. not just aesthetically, my strength gains are functionally not progressing fast because I'm not doing the best I could outside of the gym)

my poor lil muscles need way more protein than I'm giving them u_u
people really underestimate how hard strength training gains are, its such a complex algorithm of biological needs that all need to be in tune (aside from newbie gains which I think I'm all tapped out of LMAO)
gaining them and then maintaining them....
maintaining is almost harder
my personal trainer just had surgery and can't work out for a certain number of weeks and thus has lost like. 20 or 30lb of just muscle in that time
anyway putting this here as external accountability so that when I'm later like...." dont want a protein shake, I'll have one tomorrow...."

Human bodies really don't want muscle is the funny thing. they dump that energy inefficient tissue given ANY CHANCE and any lack of need for it

Okay i apparently was sitting on some amazon gift card money from christmas still so i bought myself some protein snacks, a fresh cannister of Vega sport protein powder (i think my current one was expired because I literally had like a 2 year supply from when i worked at Whole Foods that’s now reaching the end of its like)
And a post work out powder, which im a little iffy on because i have like, creatine and BCAAs already which are cheaper when not packaged fancy but
This one has some like, minerals and a fully serving of D3 which is worth it anyway, because i have NOT been taking any of that
I HAVE been getting a lot of sun this year so my vitamin D levels might be fine, but better safe than sorry, that’s a common, easy and serious serious deficiency
(I should also be monitoring my B12 better, but its fortified in so many foods that I’m not too worried
ANYWAY, FIT BITCH SUMMER IS UNDERWAY.
